    Comedy Caravan offers free tickets

In an effort to say thanks to those in the Louisville area “helping” professions, the Comedy Caravan comedy club has developed the Caravan Cares Program.

The program invites practitioners of certain professions to bring themselves and up to 7 guests, who do not have to be members of the profession, to any show at the Comedy Caravan (excluding special events) absolutely free.

Which means that the rest of you who don’t work in one of those professions need to find a friend, neighbor, or random person on the street who does.

From now until the end of June, anyone who works in the following arenas may call to reserve up to eight tickets for any show.

    -Teachers

-School Staff (Teacher’s Aides, Office Assistants, Coaches, Principals, etc.)

    -Professors

    -Doctors

    -Nurses

    -Dentists

    -Medical Workers

    -Firefighters

    -Police Officers

    -Parole Officers

    -Probation Officers

    -Corrections Officers

    -Social Workers

    -Psychologists

    -United States Postal Service employees

After the June kick-off event, the Comedy Cares Program will continue, extending the 8 free admissions offer to one or two of the eligible groups each month, on a rotating basis.

Beginning in July, practitioners of the helping professions who are not selected as that month’s eligible group will receive $5 off ticket prices for their group of up to eight guests.

To receive the benefits of the Caravan Cares Program, tickets must be reserved in advance, and one person must present proof of membership to one of the specified groups at the time of the performance.

For those who don’t work in the helping professions, and for some reason can’t find someone who does, don't worry. Comedy Caravan often lists specials and discounts for all of humanity on their website.

Comedy Caravan performances are open to guests 18 & up, with the exception of Sunday afternoon performances, which are 16 & up. See the calendar of events for specific comedians and performance times.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Bearno’s Pizza, Graeter’s Ice Cream and other snacks are available for purchase.

The Comedy Caravan is located in the Mid-City Mall in the Highlands, 1250 Bardstown Road. Tickets can be reserved by calling the box office at 502-459-0022.
