In a post on their Facebook Page last night, 60 West Bistro & Martini Bar, at 3939 Shelbyville Road, announced that this Saturday (February 28) would be their last day in operation.

In the same post, Owner Charles Knieriem said a partnership with BoomBozz Craft Pizza and Taphouse is in the works. "Our hopes are to transform 60 West into the flagship BoomBozz, with a complete remodel featuring an expanded patio with open-air doors and larger bar area showcasing 26 local and regional craft beers. Construction will begin on Sunday March 1st with an opening date in mid-April. The new Taphouse will also offer delivery along with 7 days a week of lunch and dinner business."

In 2002, the space at 3939 Shelbyville Road was operational as a coffee and eventually a lunch spot called Cafe Emilie. In 2008, Cafe Emilie transitioned into 60 West Bistro & Martini Bar, under the same ownership. 60 West wasbest known for their $5 martini nights and their broad selection of mixed drinks. Fans are encouraged to join the staff for one last night of $5 martinis and fun this Saturday evening.
