Clarksville Little Theatre is set to hold auditions for a rock opera with a Biblical twist, Jesus Christ Superstar, this coming weekend.

Jesus Christ Superstar auditions are set to happen on March 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. each night.  The audition will take place at Clarksville Little Theatre, located at 301 E. Montgomery Ave. in Clarksville, IN.

During the audition, prospective actors and actresses 16 and older should be prepared to sing as well as participate in a dance audition.  Auditioners should dress comfortably and also prepare sheet music of a song similar to the style in Jesus Christ Superstar.  And accompianist will be on hand.  Also, headshots and resumes are strongly recommended.

All roles (leads and ensemble) are available to be cast.  More information on the audition can be found at the Clarksville Little Theatre website or by contacting director Janet Morris at 502-931-8393.

Jesus Christ Superstar chronicles the last days of Jesus's life, from the events leading up to the Last Supper to Judas's betrayal to being put on the cross.  The music is set to a rock beat thanks to Andrew Lloyd Webber's music and Tim Rice's lyrics.
