I recently got married, and moved into my husband's house...in Indiana. Now I still consider myself a Louisville girl (I still work and play in Louisville) but I must admit that Southern Indiana has some pretty fun things going for it; things like a great school system, room for a giant barn behind our house, endless miles of gorgeous bike trails, and The Amazing Glaze.

Located about 15 minutes from downtown Louisville the way I drive, The Amazing Glaze makes incredible, delicious, unique pastry. So far my husband and I have sampled their maple nut cream filled long john, their banana slit donut, their strawberry cheesecake donut, their caramel creme donut, their cookies n' cream long john, their turtle sundae long john, and their apple cinnamon fritter.

Donuts at The Amazing Glaze range from 0.55 for a plain glazed to 0.88 to a special donut like the ones pictured above. So far, my favorite has been the banana split donut, filled with banana custard, topped with whipped cream frosting, chocolate drizzle, and chopped peanuts. The Amazing Glaze also does a donut of the month--this month, it's lemon cheesecake. You can order on their website, or pick up in the store from 5am to 12pm.
