    If you are planning a beautiful, romantic dinner outing with your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day, it’s time to make sure you have your plans in place. The holiday falls on Saturday this year, and that means every restaurant in Louisville will be packed to the rafters with tables for two.

    Don’t delay; make reservations at one of these restaurants, offering specials for you and your beloved one.

    The English Grill at the Brown Hotel

    Executive chef Josh Bettis has planned an exquisite five-course menu with grilled oysters, potato bisque, prime rib, Godiva molten cake and more. Overnight accommodations are available and guests dining in the English Grill will receive a $20 discount on their stay with the deluxe ($259) or club luxury package ($329).

    The Oakroom at the Seelbach Hotel

    Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14, The Oakroom presents a Valentine’s Day three-course dinner. Chef de Cuisine Patrick Roney will prepare beginnings including pan-seared foie gras, entrees including Thai chicken or Beluga lentil and portabella, and desserts including menage au chocolate or bourbon and crème brulee.

    Whitehall's Valentine's Dinner presents a perfect evening of fine dining and elegance. Served by candlelight inside the beautifully appointed Whitehall mansion, the Valentine’s Dinner features a delicious four-course feast prepared by chef Gregoire Guiot of Mirabelle Gourmet Catering.

    Treat your sweetie to a romantic three-course table d’hote menu at Proof on Main this Valentine’s Day. Lovebirds, get ready to swoon over chef Levon Wallace’s southern-inspired dishes and tantalizing desserts. The special Valentine’s Day menu will be available on both Friday and Saturday.

    Equus and Jack’s Lounge

    Celebrate your passion for food with Equus & Jack’s Lounge and a delicious five-course menu prepared by chef Stephen Dunn, to be served both Friday and Saturday evenings. Start with scallops and saffron couscous, then a watercress salad. Grouper, a smoked creekstone filet and and special banana, caramel and peanut butter dessert round out the meal.

    Bernheim Forest

    Spoil that special someone this year with a romantic candlelight dinner for two in beautiful Bernheim Forest. Bernheim’s stunning Visitor Center provides the perfect setting for an enchanted night in the forest. Your dinner includes cuisine impeccably presented by Jarfi’s Bistro along with appetizers, music and dancing. A cash bar will be available. A weekend stay at the Bernheim Lodge will be auctioned off as well.

    The Bristol Bar and Grille

    The Valentine’s Day menu will be available Feb. 12 through Feb. 15, and features a Capriole Farms goat cheese or oyster appetizer, halibut, sea bass or beef entrée and dessert.

    LouVino

    Choose from three seating times (with a two-hour limit per table). The four-course special menu includes choice of soup or crispy oyster appetizer, fingerling potatoes with bacon Dijon dressing or salad, beef tenderloin or sea bass entrée and a choice of decadent desserts.

    The earliest seating, at 5:00 to 5: 15 p.m., is $40 per person. Later seatings are $45 per person. A premium wine pairing with each course is $25 per person.

    Winston’s

    Both Friday and Saturday, Winston’s is offering a prix fixe menu, featuring a delectable four-course menu created by chef John Castro. Guests will be offered a choice among five entrées, including filet of beef, lamb chops, sea bass, lobster vol-au-vent and salmon. Appetizer selections include shrimp cocktail and fried oysters. Caesar or wedge salads and four dessert selections are also included.

    Brasserie Provence

    The romantic French restaurant will be doing two seatings on Valentine’s Day, and is featuring a three-course prix fixe menu, beginning with an amuse bouche and ending with chocolate mignardise.

    For an upscale Asian Valentine’s dinner, choose the four-course prix fixe at Asiatique. Dinner features salad; a wide selection of appetizers; pork shank, ahi tuna or several other entrée selections; and crème brulee, chocolate torte or cheesecake.

    Varanese

    Varanese Restaurant will offer a special menu of appetizers, entrees, and dessert that are comprised of aphrodisiac ingredients designed to stimulate the appetite and inspire the heart. "A Taste of Love Aphrodisiac Dinner" will be available from Thursday, February 12 through Sunday, February 15th, and all items are available a la carte. The regular menu, except for sandwiches, will also be available.

    The Italian hot spot’s four-course Valentine’s Day dinner, to be served Thursday through Saturday evening, features oysters and caviar to start, lobster bisque with black truffle, lasagna Bolognese or rabbit ragu, bistecca or branzini, and torte di mascarpone or crème di chocolate.

    Fountain Room at The Galt House

    The Fountain Room, in RIVUE Tower, is presenting a buffet from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., including live entertainment and a complimentary champagne toast. A raw bar includes assorted salads, Alaskan king crab legs, boiled shrimp and shucked oysters. The steam bar includes eastern mussels, crawfish Monica, seafood au gratin and blackened salmon creole.
