Blonde hair, blue eyes Miss World, Alexandria Mills, returns to the great city of Louisville. Mayor Jerry Abramson welcomed back, reigning Miss World, and honored her with the Distinguished Citizen Award. View the video of her being honored, her modeling video, and additional pictures.

Mills, a Shepherdsville native, competed with more than 100 other women in the 2010 Miss World pageant in China. Mills became just one of three Americans over the past 60 years to win the title.

Oddly enough, this was the first beauty pageant Alexandria every competed in. Elite Modeling Management in Miami works with the Miss World pageant to select talent and elected her to participate. Take a peek at her Elite Modeling video below.

Next year, Alexandria will assume the role as a jet-setter, as she travels to more than 30 countries as part of her responsibilities as Miss World. She will be engaged in various speaking engagements and help raise funds for humanitarian efforts.

“Alexandria will be a tremendous ambassador for Louisville across the globe,” Abramson said.
