Did your summer garden wilt away? Want a redo? Well, the time is nigh to start up the Fall garden!

The 15Thousand Farmers 15th Day Celebration--happening on none other than this next Monday, Aug. 15th, 6-8pm at Dismas Charities St. Ann Center--will feature a basic Fall gardening workshop. The workshop will be given by Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest's very own Eric Garris, who will cover how to set-up and plant a square-foot fall veggie garden. The square-foot gardening style is easy and adaptable to most spaces, including my teensy weensy apartment porch. The workshop is hands-on and calls for attendees to play decent with the dirt!

As usual, the 15Thousand Farmers 15th Day Celebration will offer up a potluck thrown together by members showing off their summer bounty (--cheating is encouraged, of course, if you've found some delicious local veggies at the Farmer's Markets). Bringing a dish is never a requirement, but if you do, 15Thousand Farmers recommends that you provide a list of ingredients for attendees that might be limited to certain food stuffs.

Volunteers are also welcome to show up early or stay late to set-up or break-down the celebration!
