Even if your golf game isn’t quite on par with Jordan Spieth that doesn’t mean you still can’t win a little more than half what he claimed for his Masters victory with only one shot.

The Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company Kentucky Derby Festival $1 Million Dollar Hole-in-One Golf Contest opens at 10 a.m. Thursday morning at the Seneca Golf Course Driving Range off Pee Wee Reese Road. The event runs every day through April 26, except Saturday when it will be closed due to Thunder Over Louisville. The good news is that Spieth, who collected $1.8 million for his victory at Augusta National, won’t be there any day.

The cost is $1 per shot save a couple of two-shots-for-$1 specials. They are: Senior Days, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. weekdays; Kids’ Day, April 19; First Responders & Veterans Day, April 20; and Ladies Day, April 21.

There will be 10 days of preliminary qualifying rounds, which will end at 5 p.m. April 26. In the preliminary rounds the 10 best shots (i.e. closest to the hole) each day will advance to the semifinals, which will begin at 6 p.m. April 26.

The finals will be held Tuesday, April 28 at 6 p.m. on the No. 8 hole at Seneca Golf Course. There will be a total of 56 positions in the finals, which will include all daily hole-in-one qualifiers and four female qualifiers from Ladies Day, plus two qualifiers under the age of 18 from Kids’ Day. The golfer coming closest to the hole during the finals (if no hole-in-one is awarded) will receive a $5,000 first-place prize.
