The Louisville Bats won their season-high sixth straight game Wednesday night, beating Charlotte 7-5, to improve to 55-50 on the season. They now lead the race for the International League wildcard playoff spot.

Mother Nature brought a premature end to a very successful road trip for the Louisville Bats on Monday. They won six of seven games away from Louisville Slugger Field and return there Tuesday night to begin a six-game homestand.

The Charlotte Knights limited the Louisville Bats, who had 26 hits in their previous two games, to only four hits Wednesday night in a 2-1 win at Knights Stadium as the Bats fell back below .500 for the season.
