    A first-inning grand slam by Wladimir Balentien, left, got the Louisville Bats' offense going early, and it was just the beginning, as Louisville lambasted Charlotte 19-6 Tuesday night at Louisville Slugger Field. The Bats also seven runs in the fifth inning and six in the seventh on their way to their fifth straight win.

    The Louisville Bats hit a season-high five home runs, after hitting four Monday night, to beat host Charlotte 8-4 in a Tuesday matinee game. Michael Griffin, left, hit two homers as the Bats won for the 13th time in their last 17 games to get back to .500 for the first time since early in the season.
