For years now I haven't thought much about those plaques that sit around the fair and expo center. However, I recently discovered these plaques represent more than pictures of great Kentucky sports figures.

Friday proved to be a day for the kids, with hundreds of elementary schools sending students to spend a day at the fair.
After all these years, these guys are still rockin'. Band together to show KISS that Louisville should be on their roster of show cities for their upcoming tour.
Louisville is a great concert town and always has been. But the two weeks of the Kentucky State Fair typically up the ante with a slew of paid and free concerts and 2009 is no different.
