    Louisville
    photographer April Rietze showcases a new body of photography. The
    series displays images from the streets of Manhattan to the hillsides
    of Kentucky. For years Rietze spent time as an international model
    living in New York, Paris, Milan, Munich, Dusseldorf, Barcelona,
    Madrid, Atlanta, Miami, and San Francisco. As a photographer her life
    in front of the camera is very evident as she well orchestrates angle
    and color in this series of work. The
    show is running from January 8th – 27th at Gallery M.

    Ingalls Wilder. Mary lost her sight at fourteen, and Laura became her
    eyes, describing the world so her sister could "see" as well. But what
    happened to Mary when she grew up? Come to the Museum to explore the
    sounds and smells, the textures and tastes, of Mary's world. Learn all
    about her life as a teacher and musician and take a look at some of the
    books in her library. Sing along with some of Pa's fiddle tunes, weave
    a beaded bracelet (the same as those Mary made for her sisters), and
    have some birthday cake made from Ma's recipe. Free to the public but
    registration is recommended.

    our January 9 workshop, we will be making Festive Fabric Flowers using
    3" fabric squares, rubber bands, and pipe cleaners (no sewing
