Remember that YouTube video that went viral a little over a year ago where a girl with bright red lips and a weird hair bump was spitting Lil Wayne’s raps like it was a piece of cake? That was Karmin then, in April 2011, trying to see if their version could get any love.  Wondering what ever happened to them? They’re the ones singing that new hit song, “Brokenhearted” that has been blasting on your radio. But it gets better. They are also the group coming to Patrick O’Shea’s this Thursday for a free concert!

Karmin’s Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan who met at Boston’s Berklee College of Music posted a cover of Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now” on YouTube in April 2011. Shortly after, the duo performed at Tufts University, were invited on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and On Air With Ryan Seacrest. Not only that, they also appeared on Saturday Night Live in February where they show-offed two songs from their new album, Hello.

Their website describes Amy as “a vocal powerhouse who glides effortlessly from singing to rapping,” which couldn’t be more true.  So don’t miss out on Karmin (presented by 99.7 DJX) and their extraordinary talent on Thursday, June 28 at Patrick O’Shea’s on Main Street in downtown Louisville. It’s a free show for all ages and the show starts at 9 p.m.
