Cox Media Group (CMG) Louisville’s WSFR-FM, which has been branded simply as 1077 S-F-R and played classic rock for more than a decade, is now “The NEW 107.7 The Eagle – Louisville’s Classic Hits.”  The change celebrates the best decade in music and will push the station to even greater success.

“Our listeners keep telling us that the best rock n’ roll of all time comes from the 1970s,” says CMG Louisville’s Operations Manager Shane Collins. “So, we’ve searched meticulously through those 10 years to find the best and biggest hits, and we’ll be playing more of these songs than ever before.”

Collins added that the Eagle will also play hits from the 1960s and 1980s, but the station will be centered in the best era of classic hits: the 1970s. Frequently featured artists on The Eagle will include Bob Seger, Steve Miller Band, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Fleetwood Mac.

CMG Louisville will continue its commitment to local talent by keeping Louisville’s unofficial King of Classic Hits radio – Future Bob – hosting morning drive from 6-10 a.m. weekdays and long-standing Louisville air talent, Ric Owen, handling afternoon drive time. New to the station will be a fresh female perspective, MJ Stevens, who will cover middays, 10 a.m. -3 p.m.
