This Friday and Saturday at Christ Church United Methodist on 4614 Brownsboro Road, high-end fashion house Worth of New York will hold a charity designer fashion sale. Over 1,000 pieces in sizes 2 to 16 will be offered to guests at 50 percent off their normal retail value, while other sizes and styles can be ordered for 40 percent off retail. All proceeds from the two-day sale, featuring pieces from Worth’s trunk shows this season, will go to two local charities: Wesley Manor Retirement Community, who serve their residents who have outlived their life savings; and Portland Promise Center, who serve families in need.

This is the third year for the fashion sale fundraiser, which is put together by the Friendship Class of Christ Church United Methodist. The group, which has had a long-standing relationship with both charities as board members, volunteers and fundraisers, has raised thousands of dollars for Wesley Manor and the Portland Promise Center.

To have an idea of what you might find at the charity fashion sale this Friday and Saturday, as well as to schedule an in-home trunk show, visit Worth of New York at www.worthnewyork.com. The sale will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church asks that guests enter through the Portico entrance.
