
The men’s NCAA basketball tournament might be the run for Texas, but the women’s tourney’s destination is just up the road in Indianapolis, where Butler University is hosting. Who’s going to have their chance to get to the Hoosier state’s championship locally of the 64 team field though? That question was answered Monday, and the response looked something like this. By the way, most of these games will be featured on the ESPN networks.
Louisville
The (7) Lady Cards are cruising up to Cincinnati to take on Nashville’s (10) Vanderbilt Sunday afternoon.
Kentucky
The SEC At-Large (4) Wildcats see the MEAC champion (13) Hampton in Albuquerque Saturday evening.
Purdue
(9) Purdue opens up their quest Sunday against (8) Kansas State in Connecticut. The two are relatively even- game play wise, and the game more than likely will be a nail biter.
Dayton
(11) Dayton opens their tourney run as an underdog against (6) Penn State Saturday in Pennsylvania.
Tennessee- Martin
Coming out of a Cinderella position (15) Tennessee-Martin will see (2) Duke, in the Blue Devil’s home state of North Carolina on Saturday at 1:45.
Tennessee
The SEC powerhouse, Lady Vols snagged a number one seed in their bracket and as such earned the right to play (16) Stetson in Knoxville on Saturday.
Ohio State
Proving to be dominate in both men’s and women’s basketball, the (4) Buckeyes will take on the Conference USA champions, (13) UCF in Columbus.
Notre Dame
The Big East’s (2) Notre Dame will square off against (15) Utah in Salt Lake Saturday evening.
West Virginia
On Sunday The (9) Mountaineers will visit Waco, Texas to try their hand against (8) Houston.
