Wild Eggs opening its fourth location
Another restaurant is adding itself to downtown Louisville’s roster of places to eat. Wild Eggs is opening its fourth location downtown, adding to the two Louisville locations residents have already come to show appreciation for: Dutchman’s Lane and Landis Lakes and Westport Village shopping centers. The restaurant also has a franchised location in Denver, Colorado.
Wild Eggs plans to open its new location in the Mercantile Gallery Lofts building this fall. The building is located in the heart of downtown Louisville at the corner of Floyd and Market Streets. Co-founder and chief operating officer of Wild Egg’s parent company EggHeadz, LLC Shane Hall told Business First, “We’re looking at growth right now. We’ve got a pretty strong brand in the Louisville market, and we feel like now is a good time to go downtown just because of all the revitalization.” Hall feels there is a major opportunity to provide quality Wild Eggs service to downtown in the daytime.
Marketing director Lauren Henson told the publication the company is gearing itself toward the business crowd, while expecting to attract visitors and Southern Indiana residents.
Wild Eggs will occupy nearly 4,700 square feet of leased space behind a Jimmy John’s. The restaurant will fit right in with downtown renovations by having an industrial feel a lot of restaurants do not have, and the bright, recognizable color scheme will remain.
EggHeadz, LLC sold Napa River Grill last year. The primary reason for the sale was so better attention could be paid to Wild Egg’s growth. Founded in 2007, EggHeadz saw around $6.5 million in revenue last year. With the renaissance of NuLu, the increasingly-popular Fourth Street Live!, and the hustle and bustle of a corporations like Humana, Wild Eggs will certainly feel right at home in downtown Louisville.
