La Coop: Bistro à Vins Celebrates Bastille Day
La Coop: Bistro à Vins will bring France’s national day of celebration to NuLu Monday, July 14 with a family-style Bastille Day meal. Traditional French dishes, with chef Bobby Benjamin’s signature Southern twists, fill the menu including niçoise salad with local tomatoes and farm egg; duck confit with seasonal vegetables; and sweet corn bisque with strawberry salsa. The shared plates menu is available from 5:30 to 10 p.m. for $40 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Hand-picked French wine pairings for each course are available for an additional $30 per person. Healthy Living: Fruit & Boot Camp
A fun three-week series designed to teach you and your school-age children how to eat right and stay active together. Each week, adults and kids will practice making a healthy meal and participate in an exercise activity that can be done anywhere. All physical fitness levels are welcome. Children must be age 5 or older and one parent or guardian must be present and participate with every two children registered. Preservation + Art: Odd Corners in Louisville Reception & Meet and Greet
In celebration of this year's exhibition, Odd Corners in Louisville, we are pleased to have Dennis Crews, the photographer whose works are featured in this exhibit, in attendance. He will join us on Thursday, July 17th from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Hite Art Institute on the University of Louisville's Belknap Campus to reveal more about his motivations behind his photography project, "Louisville Then and Now," inspired by Alexander Van Leshout's drawings of Louisville in the early 1920's.
