    Frasier History Museum Old Forester Speakeasy Series
    It’s time to get dolled up and get a wiggle on at the Frazier, as they step back into history to celebrate speakeasy style. Put on your best roaring '20s pearls and suspenders or come as you are, but keep in mind that the best-dressed guest of the night wins a $200 gift certificate to Jeff Ruby’s.This event will feature live music from Carly Johnson, Greg Walker, Ansyn Banks and Sonny Stephens as well as specialty cocktails, Art Eatables bourbon truffles, dishes from Marketplace Restaurant, swing dance lessons, '20s-era hair styling for the dames, a speakeasy selfie station and a WFPK Anniversary Celebration.

    Jewish Community Center | Rock in the Red Zone
    This event is part of the 18th Annual Louisville Jewish Film Festival spanning from February 6 - March 1. This film reveals an intimate portrayal of life on the edge in the war-torn city of Sderot. Known for its prolific rock scene that revolutionized Israeli music, for thirteen years the town has been the target of ongoing rocket fire from the Gaza strip. Live music by musician Avi Vaknin will follow the screening along with a reception.

    Spalding University’s Egan Leadership Center | The Business of Recovery
    Spalding University is proud to host a free screening of a new documentary film: The Business of Recovery. The screening, presented in the Egan Leadership Center's Lectorium, is open to the Spalding community and the public. Following the film screening, a panel of Spalding faculty will provide a moderated discussion of the film and its implications on the treatment of substance abuse.

    The Alley Theater | “William Shakespeare’s Star Wars”
    Return once more to a galaxy far, far away with this sublime retelling of George Lucas’s epic “Star Wars” in the style of the immortal Bard of Avon. The saga of a wise (Jedi) knight and an evil (Sith) lord, of a beautiful princess held captive and a young hero coming of age, Star Wars abounds with all the valor and villainy of Shakespeare’s greatest plays. ’Tis a tale told by fretful droids, full of faithful Wookiees and fearsome Stormtroopers, signifying...pretty much everything.

    Carmichael’s Bookstore | “Wash the Dust from my Eyes”
    Carmichael's on Frankfort Avenue is very excited to welcome Louisville native, Nana Lampton, for this special presentation and book signing. In this first-of-its-kind collection of nonfiction, poetry, art and photography 100 years in the making, Nana Lampton combines the journal entries of her grandfather—a World War I cavalryman uncertain about the future the war holds, yet ready to play his part—with her own poetry inspired by his writing.
