Between Jack's recent bout of teething and toddler tantrums, my family can barely muster a trip to Target without an eruption of hysterics. But if you're a brave soul who is planning on taking your kids to Churchill Downs for the Oaks or Derby, I'm sure that you're probably wondering what to pack. Here's a list of kids items that you're allowed to bring and what's prohibited at Churchill Downs.

    What's not allowed:

Bottles, cans and any liquid containers (they don't specifically say baby bottles are not permitted, but I wouldn't put it past them), coolers, backpacks, thermoses, umbrellas and wagons.

    What's allowed:

Baby bags (which I'm guessing means you're allowed to bring diapers and wipes), boobs (breastfeeding is legal at Churchill Downs or any other public place), blankets, binoculars (great toys for bored kids), chairs, packed lunches in clear plastic bags, strollers (Downs clearly mandates one per child, because I'm sure we all love to lug multiple strollers around a horse track), and tarpaulins (for the infield only).
