    Armed with ribbon, wrapping paper and plenty of holiday spirit, volunteers will gather at various times from Wednesday, Dec. 3, through Tuesday, Dec. 16, to wrap more than 6,000 gifts for lonely and isolated seniors in Jefferson County.

    t's part of the annual "Be a Santa to a Senior" program, sponsored by Home instead Senior Care. Deliveries will take place Wed, Dec. 17 through Friday, Dec. 19. In 2007, "Be a Santa to a Senior" provided 4,000 gifts to 2,000 seniors and hopes to do the same this year. More than 20 area senior facilities and K-Mart and WalMart stores are partnering with Home Instead Senior Care of Louisville to serve thousands of seniors in Jefferson County.

    Wrapping parties will be held at the Home Instead Senior Care office, 4610 Taylorsville Road, on Dec. 3, Dec 6, Dec. 9, Dec. 11, Dec. 13 and Dec. 16
