Remember Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, when Charlie unraveled that chocolate bar to find he had a Golden Ticket. Verizon's adopting a similar concept with its city-wide4G launch in Louisville.

Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network launches across much of Louisville next week. To celebrate its new, blazing fast network coming to Louisville, Verizon Wireless is handing out 4G chocolate bars at its Breckenridge Lane store to the first 100 visitors. Four of the bars will have a “golden ticket” inside that will award the recipient a Verizon Wireless DROID Charge by Samsung.

    • Where: Verizon Wireless | 982 Breckenridge Lane
    • When: 10 a.m., Friday, July 22

How fast is 4G? Check out my video post on speed tests I've done around Louisville here.

Note: Coverage will extend across the vast majority of the Louisville area inside I-265, the Gene Snyder.  If you’ve got a Verizon 4G device, you’ll get data speeds up to 10 times faster than you’ve been getting throughout nearly 633 square miles of Metro Louisville.
