Next Wednesday August 20, 2008 Varanese will celebrate its first birthday. After a year of exceeding expectations the Frankfort Avenue eatery will celebrate with half priced drinks all evening, dinner specials, complimentary pass hors d’ oeuvres and live jazz from the Jeff Sherman Trio. Rumor has it the mayor or someone from the mayor’s office will be on hand during the festivities. Apparently they really like to thank businesses with interesting menus, deep wine selections and unique environments for doing well and contributing to the local economy.
