The University of Louisville and Churchill Downs are pairing up once again for Pigskins & Ponies Presented by Kroger. This is the second year the special $25 weekend ticket package has been offered. Fans who purchase the limited ticket package will receive a seat in the upper "UPS flight" deck of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium as the U of L Cardinals take on the Syracuse Orangemen this Saturday at noon. The package will also include a racing program and reserved seat on Churchill Downs' Millionaire's Row or Skye Terrace for Churchill Downs' opening day this Sunday. The first post on Sunday is 12:40 p.m.

During the game Saturday, a halftime drawing will be held for a box seat to the 2012 Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks. Fans can enter to win by texting “PONIES” to 44144. Standard text message rates may apply. During Sunday’s opening day races, fans will have the opportunity to participate in on-track drawings before each of the day’s 11 races for tickets to 2012 Cardinal home football games. Mascot Churchill Charlie will appear at the stadium during the football game, while U of L’s Cardinal Bird and U of L cheerleaders will be at the track on Sunday.

The $25 ticket packages are still available and can be purchased through Churchill Downs' website. If you already have tickets to Saturday's game, bring your ticket stub to Churchill Downs on Sunday, October 30 for free admission to the track.
