    New Video

Howell Dawdy—the rapper, the enigma, the dude—has released a video for another tune of his called “We Don’t Eat,” a funky synth number that, yes, is about not having to eat. Example lyric: “We don’t need a hot dog stand on the corner of any street/We don’t need a B&B so point us to the single B” The video features dancing in a kitchen, crushing plates with a baseball bat, and the most ambivalent posse you have ever seen. Catch the video for “We Don’t Eat” here.

    Interesting Collaboration

The Flaming Lips have become obsessed with The Beatles so much so that they are releasing a Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band covers album with some friends. Those friends include Miley Cyrus, Dr. Dog, Grace Potter, Tegan & Sara, and MGMT. Why this is relevant to you, to me, to Louisville is because My Morning Jacket is also involved. MMJ is joining the album to cover the song “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” along with The Flaming Lips, J Mascis, and Fever The Ghost. The album will arrive on October 28.
