Here at the track, it's wet, but so far, pretty
tolerable. However, word just came in that it's hailing in Shelby
county right now. Rumor has it we may be facing tornado weather before
this afternoon.
"That'd be awesome!" said Lucy. She's in pink
polka dot rain boots, a sun dress with a lot of cleveage, and a floppy
straw sunhat with a big pink bow on the side. The hat is soaked
through. "Just imagine if a tornado sweapt through the downs on Derby
day!"
Her friend Josh snorted, "Maybe they'd rebuild it as nice as Keeneland."
Keep watch, race fans. With this weather, we could be looking at the most interesting Derby in years.
