You can feel it in the crisp autumn air, and see it in the brilliant fall colors: the holidays are on their way. And with them comes that internal cringing you get every time you wonder what gifts you are going to buy for relatives, friends, and significant others. Instead of buying another gift card, how about making some memories and sharing an experience? Making Christmas ornaments is always fun, but those are limited to a certain time of the year. Why not try something new and make a wonderful warm winter hat you can wear all through the chilly winter months?
On November 14-15, Formé Millinery Hat Shop will be hosting a hat making workshop. This months particular workshop will focus solely on blocking wool into a hat:
“Each person will learn the different types of wool for blocking and how they are best used. [...] Each person will walk away with a beautiful Winter hat that they can wear with pride.”
The owner, Jenny Pfanenstiel, is an award-winning designer, and has had many of her pieces featured in everything from Louisville Magazine to The Oprah Show. Her creative talent will help you make something special just for you. Perhaps you have a great piece of jewelry you’ve been saving for the right Pinterest project, or maybe you have a sash from that bridesmaids dress you’ll never wear again. This is an opportunity to try something new and make great memories while doing it!
