A limited number of tickets still remain for the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship preliminary rounds next week at the KFC Yum! Center.

The downtown Yum! Center will be the site of second- and third-round NCAA Tournament games next Thursday and Saturday. Tickets are available for purchase at www.NCAA.com/MBBTickets.

The University of Louisville isn’t allowed to play tourney games on its home court, but the the University of Kentucky is pretty much a mortal lock to be playing there (virtually every mock bracket across the internet has it at the Yum!).

The unbeaten Wildcats (31-0), who are a unanimous No. 1 in both national polls, will assuredly be the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament when pairings are announced Sunday evening. Therefore UK’s possible pursuit of perfection - which will continue as long as it wins this weekend’s Southeastern Conference Tournament in Nashville - and its ninth national title will likely begin on its archrival’s homecourt.

In all, there will be four games on Thursday and two games Saturday at the Yum! Center.

Other area teams who could end up playing here as well include Indiana (which is currently on the proverbial “bubble”), Cincinnati, Purdue and Murray State, which is hoping for an at-large bid to the Big Dance after losing in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament final.
