The men that brought you “Stay Fly” and the not so appropriate, “Sippin' on Some Sizzurp” and the other, which we will not name (although I am proud and ashamed to say I know all the words to), will be in Louisville this Sunday, March 2nd, at Diamond Pub & Billiards.
While we would love to see DJ Paul and Juicy J back together, like in the “Stay Fly” video in 2005 (watch here), Da Mafia 6ix will be performing, which includes artists Gangsta Boo, Crunchy Black, and Koopsta Knicca. Their new album is set to release in early March of this year. Read more about their new album here.
This new group is a new project for DJ Paul and will include music stylistics from Three 6 Mafia, but as he has said “"J’s not in it, so it can’t be Three 6 Mafia because one of the key members not in it. So I just look at it as a new project that I’m taking on [or] a new group that just happen to be with people that I’ve known for most of my life and that I trust, so that’s why it don’t have the Three 6 Mafia name. In actuality, it’s kind of a Three 6 Mafia reunion, but I don’t want to call it [that].”
Juicy J or not, DJ Paul is sure to bring a good show to Louisville this Sunday. Twisted Insane, Whitney Peyton, Sozay, and Alan Winkle will join the Mafia, for what will be a great rap and hip-hop performance.
Audience must be 18 years and over and doors open at 7 p.m. General admission is $20 and tickets can be purchased here. Admission is $22 at the door.
