Thunder Over Louisville, it's safe to say, is an incredible combination of lights, music, an air show, and of course, fireworks. For those, though, looking to bring a little extra variety into their Saturday plans, theatre productions are an option.
Those wanting to watch the fireworks but not the air show could see The Laramie Project. The University of Louisville will be putting on The Laramie Project today at 3 p.m. at The Playhouse, located at 1911 South Third Street.
The Laramie Project, which looks into the hate crime death of Matthew Shepard, will be $12 per adult and $8 per student and senior citizen. More information about the show can be found here.
During the nighttime, Finnigan Productions will present Finnigan's Festival of Funky Fresh Fun. The show is a series of short plays featuring local playwrights, directors, and actors. The performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Rudyard Kipling, located at 422 West Oak Street.
Finnigan, instead of the $12 per ticket for other shows, will have a special pay-what-you-can promotion tonight. More information can be found at this article.
Of course, also going on today is the biggest spectacle of them all, Thunder Over Louisville. Enjoy any of all of the above events.
