I have shot a number of shows at Expo Five ,but I have never had trouble trying to find a place to park 40 mins plus before a show. Mind you I am not writing a review on the show, just telling you what I saw threw a photographers eyes hopefully a colorful and entertaining recap of the event with photos and and a bit of words.
Lamb Of God and friends ripped a gaping hole in the tin roof at Expo Five Monday night. The mayhem was kicked off with Sylosis which I have never heard live before, they got the crowd fired up. Crowd surfing and the pits were turning, this was just a precursor for what was to come. When Sylosis left the stage the necks were lose and vocal cords are know tuned for Hatebreed
.
Hatebreed came out swinging, they played some old classics and some newer ones as well. It looked like 50/50 Hatebreed Lamb Of God tee shirts that I saw. Now its time for Inflames to hit the stage and the face melting continued, Infames took the concert goers up to another level, pits got larger and people were dropping out of the sky like dead birds over the rail, security hand their hands full with crowd surfers. Inflames was awesome, lead singer Anders Fridén interacted with crowd before and after every song. Inflames had a great light show as well. Someone needs to tell someone to tell someone that red lights suck, they might look cool but red lights do not photography well at all.
After a short break Lamb Of God herded themselves on stage. As expected the place erupted, pits got even larger and a bit more rowdy and surfing was at at a all time high. They dropped the hammer and didn't let up till the last song of the night. All and all it was a great show. Hope you guys like the pictures.
