With names of plays like A Falling Piano With Your Name on It, Gay Enounters of the Third Kind, and Aprodite at the ER, how could you not attend The Ten-Tucky Festival of Ten Minute Plays, which opens at The Bard's Town on Thursday.
The Ten-Tucky Festival of Ten Minute Plays will take place from Sept. 20-23 and 27-29 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances will take place upstairs at The Bard's Town, located at 1801 Bardstown Road in the Highlands.

The Ten-Tucky Festival of New American Plays has entered its second year. Last year, the productions brought about random subjects and a mixture of comedy, drama, and everything in between. This year, with original plays like A Falling Piano With Your Name on It, Aphrodite at the ER, Gay Encounters of the Third Kind, Sweet Virginia, and others, expect some new hilarity, new drama, and many more surprises.
Kentucky-based playwrights created all eight 10-minute plays to be seen in the festival. Those who contributed plays are: Trish Ayers, Andrew Epstein, Nancy Gall-Clayton, Ben Gierhart, Erin Keane, Doug Schutte, Brian Walker, and Patrick Wensink. Walker, Gierhart, Nadeem Zaman, Amos Driesbach, Greg Maupin, Amy Steiger, Scot Atkinson, and Melinda Crecelius directed each of the productions.
The overall point of the festival, according to The Bard's Town, is to be a place to embrace, celebrate, and present works of Kentucky artistry.
Following the Ten-Tucky Festival, The Bard's Town will present 44 Plays for 44 Presidents. The production will take place around election time in November.
