Just a little over two hours before her opening act was set to take the KFC Yum Center stage, Taylor Swift's people took to the patio outside the venue to inform the hundreds who had been waiting most of the day for the venue doors to open that there would be no show tonight.

The official word from concert promoter AEG Live?

Due to illness and under doctor's orders, Taylor Swift has been forced to postpone

    tonight’s

    performance

, and the show has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 11. Taylor is sorry to have to disappoint her fans in Louisville, but is looking forward to coming back this fall.

Tickets to the July 2nd show will be honored at the show Tuesday, October 11th. Ticket refunds are available at point of purchase.

Taylor herself took to her Twitter account an hour later to issue her own apology:

"Louisville, I so sorry to have to postpone this show to Oct 11. This is my first time having to do this. I'm so, so sorry."

Meanwhile, New Country Q103.1 immediately took the radio with morning show personality Kris Daniels hosting a 90-minute "Get Well Soon, Taylor" party on-air, playing nothing but Taylor Swift songs and allowing listeners to call in and offer her best wishes and a speedy recovery.
