The Tannahill Weavers' diverse repertoire reflects the duality of Scotland's musical heritage.  All of their material is traditional but, as good musicians should, TANNAHILL WEAVERS have transformed it and brought it into the modern world, alive and kicking. It embraces both the mystical quality of the Highlander's Celtic music, and the rollicking, brawling poetry and ballads of the Lowlander's Anglo-Scots culture. The Tannahill Weavers' arrangements bl/files/storyimages/the beauty of the traditional melodies with the power of modern rhythms, the penetrating sound of the Highland bagpipes weaving a thread of ancient memory running through it all. It is precisely these strangely moving yet lustily stirring qualities that the TANNAHILL WEAVERS have captured in their arrangements of the traditional music and songs of Scotland.

Opening for the evening are the believers. Hailing from Nashville, TN and reminiscent of a young Linda Rondstadt and a twangy Elvis Costello, their voices bl/files/storyimages/together like the Louvin Brothers on fire. The believers’ music will swing, sing, lament, honky-tonk, bluegrass and rock you right in to their own little world of indie-Americana.
