This time of year brings an overabundance of stuff to do in the Louisville area. Here are my picks for this weekend of what to tackle with your family...
Cherokee Triangle Art Fair
Who said art fairs and kids don't mix? The Cherokee Triangle Art Fair offers up a lot of kid-friendly features that will keep the whole family entertained. Head over on Saturday morning at 10 am (providing the weather cooperates) to watch the Children's Parade, led by the Squallis Puppeteers. Then get crafty at the children's art activity tent. Finish up by taking a stroll and checking out some art while grabbing a bite to eat.
Da'Ville Classic Drum Line Showcase
Come watch high school and community drum lines from Louisville, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan showcase their talent at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Drum lines put on great shows that will really entertain the kids. Tickets are $10 and you can purchase them by calling (502) 772-7660.
Earth Day Festival at the zoo
Party for the planet this Sunday at the Louisville Zoo! Learn about conservation efforts and visit environmental displays set up all over the zoo. The party is B.Y.O.C. (bring your own cell phone) because the first 1000 people to bring in an old phone to donate to the zoo's cell phone recycling drive will get a free tote bag!
