After losing her parents to a cholera epidemic, young Mary Lennox is sent to Misselthwaite Manor to stay with her uncle, Archibald Craven. Having never fully recovered from the loss of his wife, the mourning Archibald has kept most of the mansion under lock and key, including his sickly and spoiled son Colin. As Mary explores the manor, she befriends Colin, and finds a mysterious overgrown garden, hidden from view. Bring your family and discover what happens when Mary unlocks the secrets of the manor and brings it back to life. Recommended for ages 10 and up but will be enjoyed by all!
The Secret Garden is directed by guest director and Stage One visionary Moses Goldberg. A leg/files/storyimages/to Stage One and the theater community, Moses served as the Artistic Director for Stage One for 25 years (1978-2003), and is also a pioneer in participatory theater. Cast members include Stage One veteran Tom Luce as Archibald Craven, and three student actors from the community, Graham Pilotte as Mary Lennox, Ian Weber as Dickon, and Braden Lauer as Colin.
