Alas, Football is back! Charlie Strong and Louisville begin their Spring Football Practices today with high expectations going into the season.

Head Coach Charlie Strong took his Cardinals to a Big East Championship last year, a 2nd straight bowl game and gave them a win against arch-rival Kentucky. The team finished the season with 7-6 record.

The 2011 Season also saw the emergence of Freshman Teddy Bridgewater at Quarterback. Bridgewater was rated as a 5 star recruit coming out of high school. He took over at Quarterback after a game against the Kentucky Wildcats, leading the Cardinals to a 5-4 record. It will be interesting to see his development in the off-season.

You will have three chances to see the Cardinals in action. Today at 4pm, Friday at 4pm, and Saturday at 10am. All practices will be held at the Trager Practice facility adjacent to Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. All practices will be outdoors if weather permits.

    About Chris Hatfield

I'm just a college kid from a small town in Kentucky, called Bardstown. I've watched Louisville Sports since I've said my 1st word and can probably tell you anything you want to know about them. Parents split and my Dad moved to Louisville when I was 10, instantly I was capitivated. Alas, the rest is history and here I am. In 20 years of living, I've been called alot of things, feel free to call me a writer- I'd like that.
