If you stumbled across a gnome this morning, you're not going crazy. And it's not an elaborate April Fools' Day prank either: Louisville has been gnomed.
My Gnome on the Roam is a children's book about a restless gnome named Gustave. Children and parents are encouraged to take Gustave, his suitcase, the book and a journal on their adventures together. In what's certainly a fun marketing scheme, the creators of Gnome on the Roam have distributed around 300 gnome cutouts around "yards, at schools, museums, playgrounds, bookstores, coffee shops, restaurants, libraries and more family friendly places from J-town to the Highlands, and Downtown to the South End."
If you see one of the gnomes, take a photo and post it to Gnome on the Roam's Facebook Page or Instagram and you'll be entered to win a first-edition Gnome on the Roam adventure kit.
Happy Hunting!
