If you missed The Moth StorySLAM—or need a fix before the next one—you’ll have your chance this coming Wednesday, November 9 when Bellarmine University hosts Carlos Robson.
Robson, who hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, first got up onstage in 2005 and immediately found his groove. He went on to take the crown at the National Poetry Slam twice; now, Robson brings his experiences to Bellarmine with his dynamic ability to blend what he calls “soul-shaking stories of love, loss and redemption” regarding family and fate, turning spoken word on its ear with re-interpretations of spiritual hymns and children’s songs.
The performance, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7:00 p.m. in Hilary’s in Horrigan Hall, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact the Bellarmine Activities Council at bac@bellarmine.edu.
