Shakespeare’s As You Like It was our production slated for February’s end, but as fate would have it so is a significant (and surprising) surgery for one of our ensemble members.  We’re a tight knit little bunch, and calling in a last-minute replacement wouldn’t be the same.  Also, she has a bit of a bill coming, as you can imagine.

To that end Le Petomane Theatre Ensemble proudly offers a Benefit Weekend of our original production, entitled Spot of Cheese or The Unexpected Sally, an epic two-person comedy of failure.  Performances will be at The Rudyard Kipling on February 20 and 21.  If you saw the show last fall, please send friends or enemies.  You’re welcome too, of course – it’s never quite the same show twice.

If you missed it, Spot of Cheese is an original two-person vaudeville featuring our beloved pair of oddball characters from Siddown - of whom the Baltimore CityPaper said, “they create a reality that would put anything to shame . . . simply through physical gestures, twitches, and occasional bursts of anger or enthusiasm, they develop a relationship that starts to move in ways you rarely see on the stage” - and including expertly-attempted flamenco, the history of all world literature, and, unavoidably, cheese.

As You Like It will be performed from May 28-June 6, but nore about that later.

Tickets for Spot of Cheese are available on our usual $8-$20 pay-what-you-like sliding scale*.  Once again, performances are on February 20 and 21 at 7:30 pm at The Rudyard Kipling, 422 W. Oak St.  For reservations, call (502) 609-2520 or contact Us@LePetomane.org
