    Bit to Do

Oldham County Public Library held the second annual Oldham County Comic Con this weekend. OC3 is a free, family friendly convention with loads of activities for people of all ages.

Among the panels held on Saturday, Pixel Brain Productions showed two episodes of their web series Bagged and Bored. Filmed locally at The Destination comic book store with local actors, the series is very funny and showcases homegrown talent. I highly recommend checking out their panels at area conventions. For more information, visit their website www.pixelbrainproductions.com.

The Corn Island Steampunk Society ran the costume contest where winners from all age groups were recognized for their creativity and craftsmanship. Doctor Who trivia, kids activities, and panels were held all day; there was never a shortage of things to do! There was no shortage of things to buy either! Some of my favorite convention vendors (Imagine Candles, The Halloween Queen, and Izzy’s Creations) were in attendance as well as many comic creators and artists including DC sculptor Jonathan Matthews and Nashville native Janet K. Lee.

OC3 was a great time and I certainly hope the Oldham County Public Library continues this tradition! For more information on OC3, click here or check out their Facebook page.
