Through March 25. The current exhibit at the Louisville Slugger Museum honors Willie Mays through
photographs, 18 original paintings and memorabilia. Baseball Hall of Fame member Mays, who turns 75 on May 6, is considered one of the sport’s great success stories — and not only for his talent on the field. In the footsteps of Jackie Robinson, Mays helped integrate Major League Baseball as a player, eventually serving as the first African-American team captain in the majors. The show, "Willie Mays: 24 at 75, Celebrating the ‘Say Hey Kid,’" includes Mays’ Silver Bat Award from 1954, a road jersey from 1958 and his signature flip-up sunglasses. Free with museum admission ($9 for adults). Mon.-Sat., 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Louisville Slugger Museum, 800 W. Main St. 585-5226. www.sluggermuseum.org.
