The Irish colt Wrote, captained by Ryan Moore, captured the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf for the European contingent on a good Matt Winn Turf under the Spires at Churchill Downs.

Moore and trainer Aidan O'Brien were pleased with the trip, with Wrote covering the mile in 1:37.41.

"I had a nice trip; good position all the way," said Moore. "When I got to the outside, pe picked it up really well in the stretch."

O'Brien added, "He traveled so well all the way-- so he did. It's absolutely brilliant."

It was two and 1/4 lengths back to Emma-Jayne Wilson aboard Excapper who nosed out Farraaj and Neil Callan.

Wrote returned $25.20, $13.70 and $7.60. Excaper paid $30.4 and $15.80, with Farraaj paying $7.80 to show.
