Romeo and Juliet only had a family war to handle, Troilus and Cressida have to deal with the Trojan War. Can their love survive? Find out in the Shakespearean production, which opens Thursday.
Troilus and Cressida performances will take place on Mar. 28, 29, and 30 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances are to happen inside Parker Auditorium at Hanover College, located at 484 Ball Drive in Hanover, IN.
Tickets for each show are $12 for adults ,$10 for seniors 65 and over, and $5 for children high school age and under. All tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the box office at 812-866-7110. More information on the show can be found at the Hanover College website.
Troilus and Cressida features the title characters who fall in love despite being on opposite sides of the Trojan War. As they struggle to keep a relationship, leaders on both sides of the war look to finally achieve victory, or at least some sort of end after seven years of bloody fighting.
Jim Stark directed the Shakespearean production for Hanover College. Earlier in the season, he also directed Catholic Girl Gun Club.
Following Troilus and Cressida, Hanover College will host a festival of 10-minute plays. The festival will take place in April.
