Known for having an opinion on everything from local sports to the weather and your mother, radio personality John Renshaw brings his uncontrollable passion for talk to television when “The Freak Show with John Renshaw” premieres on The CW Louisville, WBKI-TV every weeknight from 11:30pm-12:30pm starting Monday January 26th. Renshaw was one of the voices of radio sports talk format 93.9FM The Ticket. His voice, along with that of Dave Ragone and Scott Padgett, was silenced abruptly in December as the owner of the radio signal changed formats. Ragone and Padgett recently returned to television with “Dave and Scott In The Morning” airing weekdays at 6:30am on The CW Louisville, WBKI-TV.

The launch of “The Freak Show with John Renshaw” marks the hosts’ first foray in Louisville television, essentially bringing with him many of the elements that made his radio show an unqualified successful. It's going to be a blast,” said Renshaw. “Just imagine being on the air the night of the Cards overtime win over Notre Dame, or moments after Meeks scored 54 against Tennessee. Cards, Cats and Hoosier fans are the best in the world-- and they deserve more sports outlets.”

Asked to be brief, Renshaw refused and went on to say, “It’s going to be a late night free for all--six phone lines, Rapid Fire, hip chicks, highlights, and trouble-making in general. College basketball is what I live for, and the road to the Final Four comes through The Freak Show.”

“You can’t control John Renshaw. You can only hope to contain him,” said Dan Spangler, Station Manager for The CW Louisville, WBKI-TV. During his career, John Renshaw has headlined three successful nationally syndicated radio programs for Fox Sports Radio, One-On-One Sports Chicago and Sports Entertainment Network. His love of local teams was heard on sports radio shows in markets like Atlanta, Miami and Kansas City before returning to Louisville. Renshaw’s television credits include reporting for KTLA-TV, Los Angeles and Channel 38, Kansas City.
