To celebrate Actors Theatre of Louisville’s 50th year, the company has commissioned 5 writers to create an evening of short plays that will celebrate the rich, 38-year history of The Humana Festival of New American Plays.

Jackie Sibblies Drury, Idris Goodwin, Basil Kreimendahl, Justin Kuritzkes, and Amelia Roper are the 5 writers that will open their plays tonight, Friday, March 21st beginning at 11pm. The members of 2013-2014 Acting Apprentice Company will perform in Remix 38.

Created to sample from influential plays from the Humana Festival’s past, the 5 short plays with their respective writer are:

We Are Proud to Present a Presentation – written by Jackie Sibblies Drury

Sidewinders – written by Basil Kreimendahl

How We Got On – written by Idris Goodwin

    If… Then… - written by Justin Kuritzkes

    A love song // a remix / - written by Amelia Roper

The Humana Festival of New American Plays is made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation. The festival is renowned worldwide in the theatre community that gives American playwriters a stage to begin their scripts.
