As if Westport Road needed anymore traffic issues, let's add in a fast food joint that has a group of people dedicated to Raising Cane's. Appropriately named "Caniacs". Once again, Louisville has opened another Lexington favorite. After a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 am, doors officially opened at 10:00 this morning, their 5th Kentucky location, on Westport Road. 3 in Lexington, 1 in Nicholasville.
Here's the scoop for all you folks who have never tried Cane's. The menu is limited to Chicken Fingers, Texas Toast, Cole Slaw and crinkle fries, but don't be deceived. This is all you really need. With 131 store locations, Cane's knows what it's doing when it comes to fried chicken.
A Louisville location has been in the works for quite some time now. Due to the overwhelming responses in Lexington and Nicholasville, "Caniacs" demanded a Louisville location.
For the lucky first 100 customers, Cane's handed out free T-shirts and a free Box Card with the opportunity to win free Cane's for a year.
Expect this to be a hot spot for awhile. Traffic will be backed up if this place is as well received as it is in Lexington.
