Still undecided about whom to vote for in tomorrow's primary for Metro Louisville mayor? Last week we sent questionnaires to all the Democratic and Republican candidates vying to replace outgoing dapper Mayor Jerry Abrhamson. But rather than ask about jobs, bridges and downtown development, we hit on the important issues: bars, tattoos and keeping Louisville weird. We asked candidates to answer at least five questions from a list of 10. The responses we received will be posted today, in random order.

How would you help “keep Louisville weird?”
One of the best ways to keep Louisville weird is to leverage what makes us unique and utilize those special attributes as the catalyst for economic growth, cultural and social development and improved quality of life for all citizens.

Louisville's first-rate arts and culture community is a great example of what makes us special, and the arts can serve as a central part of urban renewal and neighborhood revitalization efforts, as well as a sustainable economic development engine.

Louisville is also perfectly poised to become the premier, regional hub for the film and television industry. As Mayor, I will make the case to my colleagues in Los Angeles and New York to select Louisville for feature film shoots; and will provide support and incentives for local independent filmmakers.

In addition, Louisville is home to some of the best local restaurants in the country. As Mayor, I will work to facilitate partnerships with the tourism office, local businesses and others to effectively market the city's culinary diversity and excellence, and help us to become a destination site for dining.

Further, I will better support successful local restauranteurs in their efforts to explore modern food and dining options here in Louisville, such as mobile food units, which have been successful in other cities like Austin, TX and Portland, OR and can bring much needed economic development to underserved areas.
