This weekend, aspiring NBA players from across the nation will converge upon the Louisville Hoops facility for a NBA D-League tryout. The NBA Development League is the National Basketball Association's official minor league basketball organization.
The Hoops facility was built for this type of high caliber event, and certainly holds the potential to one day easily support an NBA franchise.
The participating athletes are coughing up $650 for the opportunity to try out for NBA front office personnel. Coaches and representatives from each of the league's 16 teams will also be in attendance. Players must be 18 years of age to participate.
Saturday and Sunday will be open to the public, and games will be played every hour on the hour.
Hoops is located at 12101 Sycamore Station Place, and you can reach them at 502-290-6444.
