After two days of heavy rain and flooding the skies cleared and the sun shined down on a perfect day of racing for the initial weekend of racing at Keeneland's biggest Spring event, Toyota's Blue Grass Stakes. These races help determine some of the contenders for both the Kentucky Oaks and Derby. Despite technical issues, both camera equipment and shoes (stepping in fresh thoroughbred racehorse sh manure does not make one faster btw), many of the day's scenes were still captured. For a review of the Blue Grass Stakes see the recap from our own horse racing expert, Jessie Oswald here.
