The one-day, open-to-the-public trunk show on the 16th serves as Louisville's exclusive preview of the new, more sophisticated Jodi Arnold line, which debuted at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York last fall.
Showcasing high-end Italian fabrics in vivid colors and flattering shapes, we're predicting Arnold's eponymous upscale line will be a major fall success.
The Peacock Boutique is the first business venture for Claire Drury and Jennifer Lee, offering Louisville women a shopping experience rooted in friendly, knowledgeable customer service. The merchandise at the Peacock includes a range of fashion-forward designers not carried elsewhere in Louisville, from the latest and greatest denim lines to dresses, suiting, jewelry and more.
Housed in a corner space in the new Lodge 820 building, the Peacock Boutique was designed by Chicago-based architect Jeff Corney. Corney's interior was inspired by photographer Slim Aarons' famous 1950s images of the glamorous lives of the era's wealthiest families. The feminine, modern look is punctuated by clean white floors, a striking Moooi crystal chandelier encased by a contemporary mirrored drum, custom-designed glass jewelry cases and a 12-foot black-and-white photo mural with a 1945 image of Brazilian bombshell Carmen Miranda and Kentucky-born actress Martha Stewart laughing between takes on the set of the movie Doll Face.
